Milano Home 2026
From January 22 to 25, 2026, the Milano Home trade fair took place, an event dedicated to the world of home and living, a benchmark for specialized retail. Combining craftsmanship, sustainability, and creativity, the fair presented numerous innovations and offered opportunities for growth and innovation for the entire sector.
There were four pavilions: Elements, where you could find excellent craftsmanship, European manufacturing, and design; Taste, with the world of tableware, kitchenware, and cooking (and our exclusive new products in porcelain and more!); Vibes, for fragrances and textiles; and Mood, for decorations and concept gifts.
The 2026 table is described as a convivial, contemporary, and authentic space. The design favors soft shapes and asymmetrical volumes, accompanied by increasingly innovative lighting solutions.
At Milano Home, brands in the sector interpret these suggestions through trends and proposals that look to the future.
At Weissestal, we wanted to recreate a few "rooms" within our stand where visitors could literally immerse themselves in the beauty of the table. The rooms designed by Simone Guidarelli, the room dedicated to interior designer Andrea Castrignano, and the room dedicated to the prestigious Japanese porcelain and bone china brand Noritake, of which Weissestal is the official distributor in Italy.
In Simone Guidarelli's rooms, we unveiled the latest porcelain novelties designed exclusively by the stylist. The two beloved collections of plates and accessories, Souvenirs de Voyage and Exotic Jungle, are expanded with some new entries and an elegant textile line: cushions, runners, and tablecloths that dialogue with the porcelain, enveloping the entire home with charm.
The two sets are a triumph of uniqueness, refinement, and class, thanks to the precious 24-karat gold thread finishes applied by hand, and are now complemented by new versatile and functional items. Among the new items are mugs in different colors and decorations, always equipped with their lids, for enjoying hot drinks in style; 15x15 cm square trays, ideal as pocket emptiers or for the entrance hall; the 8 cm cup, perfect for aperitifs or small treats; the round jewelry boxes with lids, elegant and practical; and the rectangular tray, ideal for coffee time or appetizers. Perfect for the table all year round, Simone Guidarelli's porcelain tableware accessories take center stage at the most important occasions.
Guidarelli's creativity never ceases to amaze: among the new products for 2026, the textile line developed to match the porcelain, entirely Made in Italy and 100% cotton, includes tablecloths, runners, napkins, and cushions in different colors, featuring the decorations of the Souvenirs de Voyage and Exotic Jungle collections, to envelop the whole house in a project of luxury and beauty.
Simone Guidarelli, with his brilliant flair and visionary mind, has created a new concept of art de la table, bringing fashion to tableware and transforming his creative vision, born in fashion, into a universal language that also embraces the table and the home. His porcelain collections convey a new way of experiencing design and hospitality, in an aesthetic that combines elegance, irony, and sentiment.
The plates and accessories in the Souvenirs de Voyage line tell stories that touch the deepest chords of the soul: decorations in shades of black and white, rich in detail, transport us to distant and exotic worlds, where imagination and reality meet on the table.
The colorful microcosm of Exotic Jungle, on the other hand, evokes a lush jungle pulsating with colors, sounds, and life, bringing joy and exuberance to the table setting. The different pictorial features of the decorations overlap, creating a surprising and enveloping final effect, full of character and charm.
Remaining on the theme of design, beauty, and uniqueness, interior designer Andrea Castrignano's room speaks the language of color. Directly from his palette of tailored colors, designed to express emotions and not just to decorate, the Loop line of porcelain dishes—dishwasher and microwave safe—is perfect for setting the tables of 2026 with imagination and style. Each shade (Cherry, Army, Balena, Petrol, Rouille, Laguna, and Ardesia) is inspired by nature and expresses Castrignano's lively and bubbly personality, embellishing every mise en place and giving it character. The contrast between the colored bands and the white porcelain is the truly original touch that makes the collection so striking. It includes not only the classic trio of dinner plates, soup plates, and fruit plates, but also coffee cups, breakfast cups, tea cups with saucers, oval serving trays, salad bowls, and sugar bowls.
The room dedicated to Noritake, on the other hand, is a brand new discovery. This prestigious Japanese brand of porcelain and bone china was founded at the end of the 19th century and for over a century has been bringing the essence of pure refinement to the table, seeking perfection in execution and the most elegant decorations, with unique and sophisticated workmanship that makes the final product a true small masterpiece.
Officially, since 1904, Noritake has been offering beauty and quality to tables all over the world. Artistic and manufacturing excellence, meticulous attention to detail, and a constant and uncompromising commitment to quality have made Noritake an international benchmark brand for over a century.
Today's Noritake has its roots in a trading company founded by the Morimura brothers in New York in 1876, initially dedicated to importing porcelain, decorative items, paper lanterns, and gift items. In 1904, the company that would become the Noritake Company was established in the village of Noritake, a small suburb near Nagoya, Japan. The initial goal of the first factory was to produce Western-style tableware for export. However, it was not until 1914 that the first porcelain plate suitable for international markets was produced.
The first tableware sets were mainly decorated by hand, often embellished with generous gold accents. In the early 1920s, Noritake introduced mass production techniques that allowed for the large-scale production of high-quality items while maintaining high affordability. In the decades that followed, the company continued to refine its production processes and expand its presence in international markets.
Today, Noritake is recognized as a global leader in the production and marketing of tableware, with branches, factories, and affiliated companies around the world. Its products are distributed in over 100 countries and chosen by hotels, restaurants, and airlines. Noritake invites you to continue a tradition based on distinctive design, technological innovation, and superior product quality.
