Sustainability is a topic that is discussed daily, and every day we strive to ensure that our actions are sustainable for the environment and for humanity as a whole.

We therefore took part in the event promoted by Casastile magazine entitled "La sostenibilità felice" (Happy Sustainability) to explore a topic that is close to our hearts. The aim of the event, sponsored by Ambiente - Messe Frankfurt, was to reflect on what it means to be sustainable today, according to this new concept that does not mean deprivation, but care, attention to the environment and the people who inhabit it, and the pursuit of well-being. A concept that is also expressed in the daily gestures of living at home and in the objects we use. The theme of sustainability was addressed not only from an environmental point of view, but also in a social and ethical sense, understood as circularity, reuse, second-hand, but also short supply chains and made in Italy.

In addition to Laura Tarroni, editor-in-chief of Casastile magazine, Alice Neotti, Marketing & Media Manager International Fairs at Messe Frankfurt, Andrea Tozzi, Senior Research Manager at BVA Doxa, Giorgio Caporaso, architect, designer, and art director at PEFC Italia, Dorothe Klein, Director Content Consumer Goods Show at Messe Frankfurt, and Luca Florentino, CEO of Ottosunove, also spoke on the topic.

Driven by the new lens through which we view the world, we are now more oriented towards sustainable actions, even within our own homes. This has led to the emergence of new ways of using "things" that differ from the past, such as recycling, reusing, and purchasing second-hand clothing or accessories to give new life to objects that would otherwise have been condemned to certain death. We are also looking for higher quality items, for a long-lasting investment that allows for long-term savings. That's why we at W°pots are particularly concerned with this issue, thanks to the quality of our lines of pans which, almost like diamonds, are "forever."

Quality items do not age, are not subject to fashion trends, and become a fundamental part of our homes. The use of a single item, from the moment we acquire it, should be as long, durable, and varied as possible. Not to mention that there are already materials in the world that can be given a new lease of life by reusing and transforming them, as in the case of our Eco-logical line of handles, which are made from rice husks, the waste product of raw rice after threshing. Circular economy comes to the stove and promotes the ethic of reuse, without waste.

But that's not all: packaging is also a topic closely linked to sustainability today. We are literally inundated with plastic, so it is only right to talk about sustainable packaging. Those who have already purchased our W°pots have seen it: each pan is sold in a special canvas bag that is completely reusable, for shopping, but also for storing the pan itself.
