Wallpaper: imagination and originality from an idea by Andrea Castrignano

Designed by Andrea Castrignano for a cheerful and playful mise en place, rich in color, decoration, and energy, the Wallpaper collection, in high-quality porcelain, includes an assortment of placemats, fruit plates, and bread plates for true lovers of bon ton

Available in six shades, the collection features the same patterns as the new series of tailor-made wallpapers designed by Castrignano, ranging from geometric textures to figurative and perspective subjects.

The Wallpaper line is made with European kaolin and fired at 1,160°C.

The underglaze decals are screen-printed in Italy based on Andrea's designs.

Thanks to Wallpaper, whose decorations were designed by Andrea Castrignano to complement the Loop collection, attention to detail and a passion for style, quality, and craftsmanship characterize Weissestal's tableware, which thus becomes a true work of art that will enchant all lovers of beauty.

Let's dive into the Wallpaper line and discover together what lies behind its original decorations...

  • Sakura: a robin flies freely among the branches of a cherry tree in bloom, a tribute to feminine sensuality and beauty.
  • Hombre: through an irreverent play of contrasts, the Vitruvian man appears in a version with an 18th-century wig and old-school tattoos.
  • Homme: the perfection of Vitruvian forms clashes with the extravagant tattoos and bizarre hairstyles of the men depicted, showing other facets of human prowess in a pop key.
  • Fuji: a journey to Japan on the crest of Hokusai's wave, revisited with the addition of contrasting elements that enliven the composition played out against Pontianus' background.
  • Cube: three faces, three colors, three dimensions for a timeless pattern with a retro flavor. The optical illusion transforms the squares into cubes, making the surface dynamic.
  • Floris: a flowery meadow meets the rigor of vertical lines, in a play of different shapes and planes that overlap to create a simple but extremely refined pattern.
