Weissestal becomes the official distributor of Noritake in Italy

Weissestal becomes the official distributor in Italy of prestigious Japanese Noritake porcelain, offering increasingly elegant and refined tableware.

Japanese porcelain excellence returns to Italy thanks to the new partnership between Weissestal and Noritake: the art of tableware becomes a perfect balance of beauty, functionality, and harmony.

A long history of passion, art, and international vision gave rise to Noritake, a brand that has its roots in 1876, when brothers Ichizaemon and Toyo Morimura, driven by a desire to enrich Japan through foreign trade, founded a store in New York and a trading company in Tokyo. Their pioneering intuition set in motion a journey that would profoundly influence the Japanese porcelain industry.

In 1897, a select group of engineers was sent to Europe to study the art of white porcelain in depth. Upon their return in 1899, an experimental laboratory was established in Nagoya, laying the technical and artistic foundations for Noritake's future identity. The Morimura family's entrepreneurial dream came to fruition in 1904 with the founding of the first factory in Nagoya: thus, the Noritake brand was officially born, destined to become a benchmark in the modernization of the art of porcelain in Japan.

Over time, Noritake has been able to combine traditional craftsmanship with technological innovation, making quality and elegance the hallmarks of its production. Manual techniques, fueled by an artistic sensibility that only human intervention can guarantee, allow the creation of unique objects, with attention to the smallest details, capable of transforming into authentic masterpieces.

The company's technical expertise encompasses all stages of porcelain production: from the selection and mixing of raw materials to the formulation of pigments and gold for decoration, to the application of the most advanced printing and firing technologies. In this process, art and science blend harmoniously. The result is porcelain of extraordinary whiteness and resistance that is difficult to match.

The visionary spirit of the Morimura brothers, combined with a constant pursuit of excellence, has enabled Noritake to establish itself as a symbol of refinement, innovation, and craftsmanship on a global level.

Today, more than ever, Noritake is renewing its commitment to the future, dynamically exploring new artistic frontiers without ever forgetting the cultural heritage that has made it great. It is a never-ending journey between aesthetics and innovation, between tradition and the avant-garde.

One of the distinctive elements of its production is bone china, which gives the products extraordinary lightness, brilliance, and translucency. Born in England in the 18th century, bone china has become a symbol of luxury and refinement, finding a new home over time in Japan, where it has taken on unique stylistic and technical features. Here, thanks to Japanese aesthetics, characterized by visual poetry, purity of form, and respect for the material, bone china reaches the highest levels of quality. Today, bone china is used in the production of high-end tableware.

Thanks to Weissestal's distribution, the Noritake universe, characterized by elegant gestures and formal sensitivity, can once again be rediscovered in Italy: the table thus becomes a space of authentic and timeless beauty.
