The ten commandments of the perfect Christmas gift
1. The "useful" gift
In a world where we have "everything," the greatest effort we make every year, roughly from December 1 to 24, is the frantic search for something that will be appreciated and, at the same time, useful. But what can really be defined as "useful"? It depends on individual tastes. For us, a themed salt and pepper set is definitely useful for the Christmas table, but for you it might be coasters to prevent stains on the tablecloth. We'll leave it up to you to decide, there's plenty of choice...

2. Stand out from the crowd
Focus on originality. Let's say no to ties, body creams, or shower gels with questionable scents, and instead focus on something unique and unusual, such as our porcelain tea bag holder with spoon, perhaps paired with a teapot or teacup, combining uniqueness with usefulness.

3. Put your heart into it
Whatever you choose, the important thing is to do it with love. Don't buy the first thing you see just to get it over with, but take a moment to focus and try to put yourself in the shoes of the person you are thinking of giving the gift to: how might they react? Might this item be to their taste? What are they going through right now? Practical example: I know he/she has just moved house, so perhaps he/she would like a gift for the table. Do they have a lot of space? Then let's go for a dinner service. Do they have limited space? Then let's go for a cake stand or a handy spoon rest. Even better if it's Christmas-themed!
4. Buy your gifts in time
Remember that our warehouse closes during the holidays and that December 16 will be the last day to ensure a beautifully set Christmas table. Take your time and choose the perfect gifts carefully so that you receive them in time, wrap them carefully, and deliver them to the recipient without any stress.
5. The packaging is important too
Too lazy to wrap? Do ribbons and bows give you a headache? No problem, our Christmas collections are already packaged in beautiful boxes printed with themed symbols and decorations. But don't forget the card!

6. Recycling yes, recycling no
Caution: recycle with care. We're not just talking about the environment and protecting the planet, but also about etiquette and common sense, because the idea of recycling gifts that are not too welcome may be brilliant, but at the same time it risks turning into a gaffe. We've got you covered, because our three Christmas collections can be mixed and matched and complement each other.
7. Know yourself to know others
Often, what we like may not be liked by others. We don't all have the same tastes. But how can we know what the recipients of our gifts prefer? Don't worry, it's not entirely an impossible mission. Take a look at their social media pages and you'll find several interesting ideas. Practical example: for the foodie friend who attended the babà festival, a biscuit tin might be useful. Or, for the friend who just got engaged, a tete-a-tete coffee set. For the couple who just had a baby, a baby food set. For the cousin who enrolled in a pastry course, a cake server. Let social media guide you; they know more than we do these days...

8. Giving a plant as a gift?
Evergreen (pardon the pun). But only if we are sure that the person we are giving it to does not have a black thumb or various allergies. When in doubt, it is better to go for something that only looks like a plant, such as the Christmas tree-shaped appetizer tray: three modular compartments to be filled with delicacies to enjoy together. It doesn't need watering and, in fact, is dishwasher safe.

9. No to disposable items
Out of respect for our planet and also for good taste. Our porcelain Christmas tableware is all conveniently dishwasher safe, so we can set the table with care and style without stress.
10. No stress
Enjoy the run-up to Christmas and don't let gift anxiety get the better of you. It's the thought that counts, as we all know! Be inspired by our tableware collections, not just Christmas-themed ones, and put style under the tree.
