There has been much discussion recently about the new tariffs introduced by the European Union on imports of porcelain from China, often with particular attention to possible price increases.

The European Union has introduced higher tariffs following an official investigation that found dumping practices and significant distortions in the pricing policies applied to exports to the European market. In several cases, products were exported at significantly lower prices than those charged on the Chinese domestic market, partly thanks to state support mechanisms.
Over time, this dynamic has contributed to creating a significant competitive imbalance for the European manufacturing sector. The introduction of the new tariffs is now a rebalancing tool aimed at restoring fairer and more transparent conditions of competition.
In a context of progressively realigned prices, the market will be able to return to placing greater value on quality, reliability, production solidity, and industrial capacity.
