Christmas recipe from Le dolci creazioni di Cris
Today, let's take a look at how to make some traditional sweets that are perfect for the festive season: Neapolitan susamielli.
Cristina - Le dolci creazioni di Cris shares her recipe with us, which you can try right away:
Ingredients:
For 24 susamielli
- 250 g of 00 flour
- 70 g sugar
- 100 g chopped almonds
- 1 heaped teaspoon of pisto
- 1/3 teaspoon of ammonia
- 250 g honey
- 48 almonds for garnish
Method:
Start by mixing the flour, sugar, and chopped almonds, add the pisto and baking ammonia, then add the honey and knead well until you have a compact dough.
Now divide the dough into 24 pieces and form them into 10 cm long snakes, which you will then bend into the traditional S shape. Place the susamielli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, decorate them by adding almonds to the openings of the S shapes, and bake in a preheated static oven at 180°C for about 12-15 minutes. The susamielli should brown, but not darken too much. Remove from the oven and leave to cool on a wire rack, then enjoy them as a delicious and fragrant snack.
To serve, the Circus Green bowl and plate are the perfect stylish touch for an original Christmas table.
